Motive Privacy Policy
Overview
Motive is a motivational alerts app. We collect only the information needed to create an account, save your preferences, generate motivational quotes, manage subscriptions, and send notifications.
Information We Collect
- Account information from Sign in with Apple, such as your user identifier and, if shared, your email or name.
- Profile preferences you enter in the app, such as your name, focus areas, biggest problem, and notification timing.
- Device notification tokens so Motive can send push notifications.
- Subscription status from Apple to determine whether premium features are active.
How We Use Information
We use your information to operate the app, personalize quotes, schedule notifications, sync settings, provide support, and maintain account security.
Third-Party Services
Motive may use Apple services for sign-in, subscriptions, and push notifications; Firebase for authentication and stored app data; and OpenAI to help generate motivational quote selections based on your app preferences.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with service providers needed to run Motive, process subscriptions, generate quote content, or send notifications.
Notifications
You can enable or disable notifications in iOS Settings. If notifications are enabled, Motive stores a device token so the server can send motivational alerts.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account inside the app from Settings. Account deletion removes your saved profile, notification settings, saved device tokens, and app account data.
